Kildare and Wicklow ETB, supports and co-ordinates education, training and youth services in Kildare and Wicklow. We specifically provide primary, post primary, post leaving certificate, apprenticeships, traineeships, youth services, music, community, outdoor and adult further education and training.
The purpose of this award is to enable the learner to install carpet and vinyl floor covering independently or under direction in both commercial and domestic settings.

CitA TECH LIVE 2022 Conference is a three-day event taking place June 15th-17th) focusing on the key challenges in construction and how the construction industry must change by embracing new ways of working.
The event is an open invitation for industry, academia, government, and IT vendors to submit presentation proposals on addressing one or more of the top 10 challenges facing the construction industry in 2022.
Attendees of this conference will gain insight from home and abroad to become a better, faster, more attractive and greener industry.
This conference will take place online on June 15th , 16th & in person on June 17th at the Gibson Hotel, Dublin.
CitA was established as a research project in DIT Bolton St. in association with Waterford IT in May 2001, with the vision of harnessing the potential of ICT in the Irish Construction Industry. CitA was formally incorporated into a company limited by guarantee with no share capital in November 2005.
Membership of CitA is open to all stakeholders in the Irish Construction Industry (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Operations – AECO)
The latest episode of the Engineers Collective podcast, How is 3D printing changing construction techniques?, discusses the growing use of 3D printing for concrete structures, metal bridges and composite forms by the construction industry.

Colin shares his experience of working with 3D printed concrete structures on projects with clients like the Environment Agency and talks about the opportunity it presents for engineers to tap into their creative side as they work outside of existing design codes.
Claire and Catherine discuss the construction risks that come with using innovative technology with Colin, along with the potential 3D printing offers to reaching carbon net zero. Colin also shares some lessons learned around where 3D printing techniques work best and some considerations when planning to use such methods.
While Colin doesn’t believe 3D printing will solve every construction problem, he does expect its used to grow in the next decade.

Many are market leaders in their field, with products that are for use in a broad range of areas including, the agricultural, transportation, materials handling, quarry, construction equipment, food processing, recycling handling and allied industries.
This event is an opportunity for you to learn more about the OEM Apprenticeship programme and the many benefits it could offer your business. The Level 6 National OEM Apprenticeship develops skills across a broad range of areas including Mechanics, Pneumatics, Electrical, Hydraulics, Engineering Drawings, Mechatronics, PLCs and Robotics. Upon completion of this three-year programme, the apprentice will be able to assemble, test, maintain, troubleshoot and service a wide range of products and machinery. In addition, they will also develop skills in areas such as Operations Management, Team Leadership, and Communications.
